    Caractéristiques

    San Salvatore est le mont emblématique de Lugano. Il est également appelé «pain de sucre», ce mont imposant au sud de la ville offre une vue à 360° sur le lac et plus loin vers le sud et les Hautes-Alpes à l’ouest.

    Cette via ferrata est importée des Dolomites, c'est à dire avec un minimum de matos dans la parois. Tu vas devoir toucher le rocher pour l'escalader.

    Ouverte toute l'année en fonction de la météo et de la neige.

     

    Astuces ViaFerrata

    Prends un appareil de photo avec toi, car la vue sur Lugano est splendide.

    Une paire de gants est une bonne idée. De bonnes chaussures également!

     Tout simplement jusqu'à Lugano et en direction de San Salvatore. La montagne est visible de partout.

    Accès

    Au départ de Lugano-Paradiso avec le funiculaire jusqu’au Monte San Salvatore. 

    Si tu veux la jouer à pieds, un sentier balisé mène à la station intermédiaire du funiculaire à Pazzallo (490 m) jusqu'au début de la via ferrata (env 50 minutes).

     

    Via Ferrata

    Cette via ferrata est athlétique réservée pour ceux qui ont des biceps. Il y a du vide et très peux de matos, donc tu touches le rocher.

    A éviter en temps de pluie et si les rochers sont humides.

     

    Retour

    Au sommet de la via ferrata, le choix s'offre de descendre sur Pazzallo en parcourant ce magnifique sentier ou bien de monter au sommet, en 20 minutes, et d'atteindre le point de départ du funiculaire.

    Features

    San Salvatore is Lugano's emblematic mountain. This imposing mountain south of the city offers a 360° panorama of the lake, scenery to the south, and the high Alps to the west. It is also know as the "Sugarloaf."

    This via ferrata was imported from the Dolomites, that is to say that the rock face is minimally equipped. You will have to be in contact with the rock to climb it.

    It's open all year except when there is snow or other inclement weather.

     

    ViaFerrata Tips and Tricks

    Make sure you bring your camera, the view on lake Lugano is splendid.

    It's a good idea to bring a pair of gloves. And proper shoes too!

    With the funicular from the start of the Lugano-Paradiso to the Monte San Salvatore.

    If you want to go on foot, a marked path leads you to the intermediary funicular station of Pazzallo (490 m) and then to the start of the via ferrata (about 50 minutes).

     

    Via Ferrata

    This via ferrata is demanding and only for those who have good biceps. There is a lot of void and very little equipment, so you must use the rock.

    Way Back

    At the top of the via ferrata, you can either go frolicking down to Pazzallo on the beautiful path or you can go up to the summit in 20 minutes and from there take the funicular.
